Kyiv Post photographer Anastasia Vlasova won the third place at the international photo contest Pictures of the Year on Feb. 20.

Vlasova won in the spot news category with photography from the place of Malaysian Airlines flight 17 crash MH17 after Kremlin-backed separatists shot down it in eastern Ukraine in July 2014.
