“I find it strange that an aircraft weighing up to 230 tonne can vanish. In this age of communication, we can see the face of our friend 12,000 miles away.
“This flight is a real mystery, a first in world history. I fear that technology games are at play,” he said after ‘The New World Order: A Recipe For War or Peace’ International Conference at Putrajaya International Convention Centre, here today.
The MH370 interim report by the Malaysian International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) probe team was released yesterday.
Dr Mahathir also described the allegation that the pilot plunged the aircraft into the Indian Ocean as illogical.
“I find this very strange. If he wants to commit suicide, why wait until after four to five hours of flying,” he added.
The interim report stated the team had interviewed more than 120 people and visited various agencies.
